PERSONAL SLEEPING
THAT'S NOBODY’S BUSINESS – WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE IN MY BEDROOM.
A good bed is important – that’s a given. And buying a bed and mattress is really exhausting. The fun starts when it comes to the trappings. The so-called headboard, i.e. the head end of the bed, offers enormous scope for creative design.
Functions. A headboard looks great, serves as a headrest or backrest, is softly padded and prevents injuries. It also insulates the wall in the head area.
Design. Our interior designers love fabric-covered headboards, not least because of their functional advantages. Seamstresses and upholstery specialists in our workshops bring the designs to life.
Variants. A headboard is a variation of the upholstered panel used to decorate walls or ceilings. A fabric-covered panel changes the acoustics and creates a cosy atmosphere.
Production. A wooden board is covered with a layer of foam. Next, the cut fabric is stretched over it and attached to the back. The last step is the stapling. This involves stretching the fabric towards the upholstery panel at predetermined intervals with special tools, sometimes using decorative buttons.
