NATURHOTEL
FORSTHOFGUT
LEOGANG

Forest and fields all around — and an authentic atmosphere and exquisite comfort inside. In addition, the welcoming atmosphere created by the hosts, the Schmuck family.

The design by various architects subtly blends alpine elements like old wood with exquisite fabrics, modern accessories and beautiful furniture.

This magically results in a unique combination of authenticity and lightness, cosiness and freedom, refined by a rigorous focus on quality and exquisite taste.

It is with great pride and with appreciation for the continuous collaboration that we present the images showing the projects of the past years as well as the most recent ones.

BERGLEBEN SUITES (2025)

Light wood panelling on both walls and ceilings evokes the panelling found in traditional farmhouses. It conveys a sense of cosiness and a down-to-earth connection with nature. Here, however, in a contemporary interpretation: clear, smooth, light and geometrically structured.

The textiles come from a different style family: a wide corduroy with a long pile in warm terracotta plays with the incoming light. As a custom-made bedspread, it looks casual and displays different colour depths. Multicoloured bouclé fabrics on headboards and furniture radiate an elegant depth, and curved upholstery shapes add movement to the scene.

WaldSPA: HEALTH (2025)

How do you create an atmosphere that radiates both purist clarity and a private, relaxed ambience? In the WaldSPA Health area, this task was solved using lots of wonderful fabrics and a monochrome design. Flowing curtains create private zones, while comfortable armchairs upholstered in lovely fabrics with a great touch create a feel-good atmosphere. The colour scheme remains true to the classic colours for wellness areas, but breaks up the white a little with a subtle shade of cream.

FINE DINING SILVA (2025)

The latest addition to the Forsthofgut (2025): the fine dining restaurant Silva with its utterly unique concept.

Silva – that means forest. And at the Forsthofgut, forest doesn't just refer to the origin, but rather to an attitude. The design was meant to reflect what happens on the plate. Atmosphere as part of the overall experience.

The design concept: dark wooden panels with a subtle relief structure like a quiet forest; upholstered benches in mossy green, velvety cushions in berry and blackberry colours. The design language remains clear and minimalist. Decoration includes subtle allusions to nature: thistles, wreaths, small pine branches.

This creates a space for all senses. Subdued light alternates with radiant spotlights and steers the eye. Velvety surfaces soothe both acoustically and visually. An intimate atmosphere – almost contemplative, and on the plate: a culinary walk through the forest in eight courses.

riding stable

Addition in summer/autumn 2022: the new riding stable with an exclusive lounge area.

Natural elegance meets stylish privacy: velvet curtains in bright copper, deep green upholstery and botanical patterns work their magic amid dark wood and rough stone.

A lounge for riding enthusiasts and the feeling of being a few hoof lengths ahead of everyday life. Designed by W2 Architecture, realised with care by our own assembly team.
